Face Seal Gland Orifices

Waltham, MA, Apr 22, 2005.  Pictured are new ruby orifice glands for face seal applications. Bird Precision supplies precision micron orifices in sizes 7.5 microns (.0003”) and up. These face seal glands are finding use in various vacuums, ultraclean, semicon, biochem, laboratory instrumentation and analytical applications. Orifice sizes can be laser etched. These ruby orifices yield precise, accurate, repeatable flow. They are true, wire lapped, sharp edged orifices with uniform Cd values. Ruby is practically chemically inert, next to diamond hardness, very wear resistant. Orifice sizes will yield flows from less than .5 ccm dry air, and will handle both gas and liquid applications.
